Offline todo app

Your list should not disappear with the Wi-Fi.

Argon keeps a working copy of your workspace on the device in front of you. You can start without an account, close the tab, come back later and keep planning without a connection.

What works offline

The useful parts stay useful.

This is the behavior of the product today, not a future roadmap.

Create and organize

Add todos and events, make sections, reorder work and move items between lists.

Plan time

Add dates, deadlines and repeating schedules, then work through Focus, Upcoming and your projects.

Keep context

Write notes, add links and keep the details beside the task they belong to.

Use the keyboard

Quick Find, creation, editing and optional Vim navigation keep working without a network round trip.

How it is stored

Local first means local is the normal path.

Without sync

  • Your workspace is stored in an on-device IndexedDB database.
  • No Argon account or email address is required.
  • Your changes stay on that device and are not sent to Argon's cloud.
  • The web app and macOS app can both run as local workspaces.

With optional sync

  • Your device still keeps a local working copy.
  • Changes made offline queue and sync when the connection returns.
  • An account is required so Argon can identify your devices.
  • Sync is a one-time $25 purchase, not a monthly subscription.

Browser storage can be cleared by you, your browser or device management software. If the workspace matters across devices or you want a cloud backup, turn on Argon Sync.

Connection boundaries

What still needs the internet?

Offline support does not make every outside service local.

Cloud sync

New changes can be made offline, but another device cannot receive them until Argon reconnects.

Connected services

Google Calendar and Linear need a connection to authorize, fetch and refresh their data.

Purchases and updates

Unlocking sync, downloading an app update and signing in all require a working connection.

Fit

Who is Argon for?

A good fit if you want

  • A personal workspace: todos, projects, deadlines and calendar context in one place.
  • Local control: start without an account and keep working offline.
  • Fast input: remappable shortcuts and global quick capture on macOS.
  • Simple pricing: free locally, with an optional one-time sync unlock.

Look elsewhere if you need

  • Team collaboration: Argon is currently a personal workspace, not a shared project manager.
  • Android or Windows today: those apps are planned but not yet available.
  • Built-in voice capture: Apple Reminders is the simpler choice for deep Siri integration.
  • A large integration catalogue: Todoist currently connects to more outside services.

Try the local workspace.

No account, card or trial timer. Open the app and choose “Continue without sync.”
