How Argon stores your workspace
Without sync
Argon stores your workspace in an IndexedDB database on your device. You do not need an Argon account or email address. Argon does not send your changes to its cloud. The web app and supported native apps can run as local workspaces.
With optional sync
Local workspaces save your changes on this device. Cloud sync requires an internet connection. Argon is free on every supported device. Argon Pro costs US$20 once and adds Sync. It does not require a subscription.
Browser storage can be cleared
You, your browser or device management software can clear browser storage. If you need your workspace across devices or a cloud backup, upgrade to Argon Pro.
What still needs the internet
Cloud sync
You can make changes offline. Another device cannot receive them until Argon reconnects.
Connected services
Google Calendar and Linear need a connection to authorize access and to load or update their data.
Purchases and updates
You need an internet connection to buy Argon Pro, download an app update or sign in.

For teams or more integrations
Consider another app if you need team collaboration, built-in voice capture or a large integration catalogue. Argon is a personal workspace for web, macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android. Apple Reminders is the simpler choice for Siri integration. Todoist connects to more outside services.
